Buddhi De Mal, originally from Sri Lanka, is a Singer-Songwriter currently residing in in Boston, USA. Growing up in the midst of a civil war significantly influenced his musical inspiration. Despite not being a native English speaker, Buddhi was captivated by Western contemporary music. Motivated to delve deeper into his musical interests, he decided to pursue studies in the United States. After thorough research, he discovered that the Musicians Institute (MI) perfectly aligned with his artistic ambitions. While at MI, Buddhi not only acquired knowledge and practical experience but also established valuable connections essential for bringing his envisioned music to life. Opting for the Independent Artist Program (IAP) allowed him to form professional connections that would have been otherwise unattainable.
